@GadgetryTech Hello Joe! one question, after our "friend" Cerny confirmed dolby atmos via hdmi on ps5, do you think they will implement this option for headphones later?
It would be perfect to be able to use it with Maxwell as pc and xbox users do who rave about enabling dolby atmos in most games.
You are mixing two different things here. The 3D rendering inside PS5 is Tempest engine. The out of Tempest can be stereo or binaural or 5.1 over HDMI etc. What is new here is the addition of Dolby Atmos stream over HDMI.
most 3D formats like Atmos has two parts. The 3D format (objects, channels etc) that is used for storing or transporting the spatial audio information. The second part is rendering/converting this to be used for an audio device. What is new and happening here is conversion from one native format to another (Atmos).

I agree that games+windows has something that makes it special terrible ! But also, I do have some problems with the dongle Chat/Game if I dont do the things in the order that I mantioned above.
But if using BT I would say that I have low problems. Just a few times mic doest connect do M$ Teams and I have to close the call and enter again(idk know but that works).
I am using Maxwells almost every day. Using different firmwares and different Maxwell units and I don't come across this issue. Dongle always takes priority. Can you check if there is any other audio device driver or virtual sound card that is changing priorities ?

Is there any way to check who has the priority at certain time? I mean, if I dont do the procedure I told before, when I plug the dongle I can hear audio coming from dongle butt then it dies. Maybe is some device or other stuff getting priorities? I just not sure how to check it.

What do you mean audio comes out and then it dies ? if you go to the control panel screen for audio and keep it open. First plug in the dongle and see if the active device switches to Maxwell in the audio control panel. When it dies, do you see the audio device switch to a different device ?

Tired ZMF headphones at Canjam. They are about same weight as Maxwell. For instance. Atrium closed is 490g as well. But 10x more comfy. I wish Audeze could really improve the ergo of the headphones

No doubt that there are things that can be done to improve the design and thus ergonomics of any headphone, Maxwell included!

But, you do a disservice to your argument by comparing the ergonomics of a $300 headphone to that of a $2700 headphone. I know that wasn’t what you literally meant to do, but it is how it comes across. Are there $300-$500 headphones that are this weight category and have better ergonomics? Use that in your comparison is what I would advise…

Sony buying Audeze. Is that right?
Definitely wasn't on my bingo card for this year lol...but seeing as the Pulse Explore and Elite are both Planar, it makes some sense which is wild.

I'm also wondering since the Pulse Elite will just be $150 in an all plastic body, will it have a similar build quality issue that the Penrose had?
