They are larger I think my ears fit easily in these I had trouble with the Penrose. They are thicker too.Are you sure? The Maxwell earcups seem rounder and slightly larger than the Penrose.

Lol Helvetica Bold dog is blocking us from finding out. I've been wanting to know this as well.Let's ask @Helvetica bold about this comparison together
On the penrose I have 80% of the volume in the system and manually add it to the headset at will. Penrose is probably the loudest headset of those that I used, so 100% in the ps5 and 100% in the headset itself is not only dangerous for hearing, but physically it is not particularly comfortable. 120 decibels loudness is not a joke.General question for PS5 use, sorry if it seems obvious:
Is it best to set the audio output from the console UI to MAX volume, then control the rest from the headphone? Does this provide the best results?
Xbox Dogs vs psvr 2. This spring. Only at his house.Lol Helvetica Bold dog is blocking us from finding out. I've been wanting to know this as well.
I'm not sure but Penrose was more oval (taller it looks like) maxwell may be bigger round but I don't think it's any taller and that would be where the issue is I believe, is hitting the strap of the psvrAre you sure? The Maxwell earcups seem rounder and slightly larger than the Penrose.

The chance of accidentally turning the volume wheel and getting hit in the ears is significantly higher at the maximum volume in the system, most likely, therefore, when you turn on the maxwell volume, it is always at an average level.Oh definitely, I never maxed it out on Penrose, it was more a question of is it more beneficial to max the sound output to the headphone, then use the headphone dial to control from there.
I certainly don't want to blow my head off haha.
Maybe maximising head belt on maxwell can help to minimise problems with larger round earcups.I'm not sure but Penrose was more oval (taller it looks like) maxwell may be bigger round but I don't think it's any taller and that would be where the issue is I believe, is hitting the strap of the psvr
lol, I'll give it another try tonight. You really need to take time and get the headset fit correct otherwise the image quality is fuzzy. There's a few calibration test to run.Lol Helvetica Bold dog is blocking us from finding out. I've been wanting to know this as well.
Thanks for a detailed range rundown, @zbrictson ! Question for you, @HipHopScribe and @Audeze: if setup rig has other Bluetooth adapters (EG - mouse dongle) or other nearby Bluetooth signals active, does that affect range or connection stability?
There is no imbalance in my unit.Just got mine unit, headset have channel imbalance which is a bummer :/ Otherwise first impression of sound is stunning! Sound like as planar should.
Lucky you! Unfortunately this is only unit in my nearest store. So i can't replace it until there is a new batch! There is no imbalance in my unit.
