Are these headphones good for bass heavy songs?  I also listen to classical and bass with female vocal type music.

They are pretty good for bass heavy songs but they won't really cut it for classical in my opinion. They sound cluttered and it is almost like a wall of sound coming at you.

Agree to disagree. Not sure why these aren't great for female vocals, mine sure are.

Because there are (many) better cans out there that do much much better for female vocal. Agree to disagree though.

I was mostly picking another planar headphone that would help fit the bill (IMO). Of course, T50RP's pretty much own this realm due to their versatility and price.

I should mention that the HE-400 benefits greatly from some EQ. I have no problems making them have any signature I want while maintaining their great clarity and imaging.
