My stock LCD-2 cables are noisy from wear near the molded flexible section and wanted to shorten the cable and resolder to a standard switchcraft mini connector.
I have some spare TA3/TA5s that I use for other audio work/repairs and am hoping to take apart the molded connectors, shorten the cable ends and resolder to the existing TA4 using a switchcraft connector twist on black cover.
My main concern is how difficult the cables are to deal with once I cut the cable. Are they as tiny and difficult as Sony 7506 cables, or are they a little easier to work with?
Has any one worked on these cables? I know most people build their own or purchase custom ones. I may build my own if I have to, but thought I'd try this first since I have some free time at home.
