Audeze has (DEFINITELY) something new Re: Headphones at Canjam?

that was a special "unadvertised" price for previous LCD1 customers as a concession to bringing a new product to market which exceeded the LCD1 - essentially the price differential between LCD1 and 2 and they got to keep the LCD1 ..dB

lol..you are probably going from my quote. That 20k price i mentioned was for their studio monitors that were being manufactured 2-3 years ago.

Wait till RMAF will ya..its just around the corner even

Based on the LCD2 Rev2, I'm in awe of Audeze. It's probably the only company from which I would buy a pair of speakers w/o hearing them.
I actually think the LCD2s are underpriced for their level of performance. They could fool me in to thinking they were $2000 phones & I wouldn't know any better.
If I was thinking about them, I would spring for them before Audeze figures out they could raise the price.
They are the model of a small company.
They are the Apple of headphone companies [  and RIP Steve Jobs :(   ].

Have I told you about the LCD-2 Special Edition I have listed in the FS forum? It's got rhodium-plated drivers and I got it for 4k, but I'm looking for a quick sale and might just settle for only 2k.

I would like powered monitors for 800/pair please.

I'll take standard bookshelves for the same price too.

You are right, I was wondering where I got that figure.

If anyone wants a pair of speakers that sounds very similar to the LCD2's, look at the Gallo Stradas for 2K, plus subwoofer. The Stradas are the main reason I fell in love with the LCD2's, they sound so much a like. Fast, quick, detailed, musical, and they both have the magic. Now my wife can go to bed early and I can keep listening to my jams.

Really?!... I did not find this to be the case.

Although I do understand that Planar speakers are really an acquired taste. Some love them. Most think they're just gimiky / cool. Some hate them. It is about time we had somebody shake up this market though. In the end hopefully the price-tags match practicality though, (otherwise I'd think it's an easy pass.

Try listening to the Gallo Stradas if you want to trade up. I have owned dozens of planers, Magnepans and ESL's over the years and none of them can out image the Stradas. With some recordings, you will swear you are listening to a 5.1 system. These are the most holographic speakers you will ever hear.
