Fair point.  I think it's great when the public can get behind quality, regardless of why they do it.  If Neil Young can get people away from 128kbps or 256kbps MP3s with compressed dynamic range, by all means!

We all saw what happened to him when he tried to do it to the masses who are not ready yet.

I think when head-fi companies try to please the masses the end product displeases their traditional head-fi crowd and that is scary for me.
