i want to have many years of use

For example, can I simply run Debian 11 LTS or Debian 12 LTS on it ? Then I can load any distro I want

I hope in future you can put something like a Raspberry CM4 inside for maximum customer flexibility on the software side

Theoretically you can put any distribution into it and we did test a lot. But finally we still choose Debian as the most stable option.

2 questions:

1) With DSD Direct mode enable , what will happen to headphone output?
I hope headphones output will be disabled? not dangerous maximum volume ?

2) will you update user manual to mention how to enable DSD DIrect mode ? Where is the user manual on the website?

Direct mode will require further confirmation before entering.
Generally speaking, turning this function on will disconnect the headphone output.

Linear power supply’s are quieter than switch mode power supplies.
Adding a high quality LPS would improve this DACs performance.
