They are no amp pigs IMO. I can't resolve major differences between an Opera and my DIY CMoy as W5000 amps.

Your CMOY must be really good, unless you meant volume only.

They can be quite picky in terms of amp AND source. Paired correctly, you'll be in for a treat (assuming you have no fit issues).

That has been my experience as well. Verrry picky.

It's a "better" exemplar with 18V battery power supply and the high res LM4562 as Opamp. My Millet or my buddy's Opera don't beat it decisive.

Ok thanks! I have a small head i think but i just know these things are going to be in control of me, not me in control of them. All part of the fun though to see if i can get the best out of these phones. K701 is a challenge in a way because i have to drive the hell out of them to get get them to sound great, but very well worth it. So are they hard to match or just very transparent? Thanks.
