Hi all. How would these be described as far as impact? Up-front? Laid back or in the middle. Simple question i guess. Thanks!

I'd say "in the middle" with a tendency towards upfrontness...

Great!!! Just what i'm after. How do they iffer fom 701's, are they easier to drive? Thanks again. (i've got a pair on the way)

They are no amp pigs IMO. I can't resolve major differences between an Opera and my DIY CMoy as W5000 amps.

They can be quite picky in terms of amp AND source. Paired correctly, you'll be in for a treat (assuming you have no fit issues).

Ok thanks! I have a small head i think but i just know these things are going to be in control of me, not me in control of them. All part of the fun though to see if i can get the best out of these phones. K701 is a challenge in a way because i have to drive the hell out of them to get get them to sound great, but very well worth it. So are they hard to match or just very transparent? Thanks.
