If you ear looking into this price, I seriously suggest you to go for 1A from sony instead...msr7 is really pitchy so you may not buy it unless you actually listened and make sure you love that sound.
 
It is absolutely fine to use them on your smartphone because they are designed to be listened without DAC/AMP. They can be driven by your phone or your PC directly and produce good sound.

I have these headphones and I use them almost exclusively with a Samsung Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Tab S. Sounds great, though I do find that to listen to them at high volumes, I need to dial the volume up to 8/9 out of 15. Resolution is awesome, even with playing mostly .mp3 files.
 
They are also marketed as portable headphones, so I would guess that they are made to use with portable devices.
