Yea... Another ATH-M50X thread. lol
How big of a upgrade is the ATH-MSR7BK from the ATH-M50X and is it worth upgrading from that or should I just go with something else?
Thanks guys! :D

Need more information to answer that question reliably, what are you looking for in the new pair, what didn't you like about the M50X, what your budget is, etc.

MSR7 is a brighter leaning headphone and has a much more analytical sound with a tamer bass that allows the upper mid-range and treble to shine and not be overshadowed on.

It is more or less an attempt to upgrade, there wasn't anything wrong with the ath-m50x. Friend was offering to sell me his pair.

I want a closed back.
Budget: 100-200.
I listen  to a lot of edm and orchestral game or movie music if you get I mean.
Also, does the ATH-MSR7BK need an amp to drive it?
