oops wrong emoji. tyll actually was referring to the M50, not the M50x. The M50x has less piercing treble which was the main difference anyway, according to what me and Tyll heard

I'm not really someone who understands the difference, if you would let me listen to 2 different headphones I'm sure I'll be able to tell the difference between them and decide which one sounds better for me, but getting into terms of which headphones have more bass / mids / punch and all that, it doesn't really tell me anything unfortunately
But maybe I'll tell you what I was using so far so it could help a bit. So far I've used Sennheiser HD 212 PRO, they just died on me couple of days ago, but overall I was satisfied with them, were my only headphones besides the apple earbuds.
Yea they all good looking can't deny, the yamaha pro really reminds the beats and although the others look good I still prefer the look of the beats / m50x

I'm looking at amazon for $200 I can get the solo2, $170 I can get the ath m50x with FiiO E6 Headphone Amplifier (for free) and for $80 I can get the Onkyo ES-FC300

I ended up buying the ATH-m50x because I got a good deal for them from a store near my house so I just went for it
