A few days ago I bought a set of ATH M50's. But unfortunately it seems that I have to EQ down everything between 150-1k due to it being far too loud for my ears. When EQ'd in such a manner they sound sweet, but I'm not spending £130 on something that needs to be EQ'd. I found this strange as most reviews imply that the mids are recessed. I've tried this on my laptop with no soundcard, then on an mbox mini and also on my HTC phone and they all suffer from the same issue. Could they be faulty?
