5. Preferred tonal balance - Balanced please
6. Past headphones - JVC HA RX700 was my first on ear. I want to upgrade because it is heavy, sweaty ears, and looking for better quality.
7. Preferred Music - Rap, R&B, classical, and classic rock.

Neither is on ear; both are over ear. Neither is balanced, though HD439 should sound more balanced. I'm supposing you're looking for a closed over ear unamped all-rounder up to $130. Consider Logitech UE6000 and maybe Creative Aurvana Live.
