Ath-M50 Mod?

When I get my ATH-M50s, could I pay Someone to mod it with a detachable cable and change the stock pads?

You should have purchased a modified ATH M50 from www.soundprofessionals.com. They come with a detachable cable.

I'm thinking about that but seeing if I can get someone to do it for me that is cheaper than just buying one with a detachable chord.

You probably be better of purchasing them directly from sound professionals because they will already be professionally modified. But if you want it really cheap, you could attempt at performing the modifications yourself, but there is a risk that you might damage your headphones.

Well, i hope you find a cheaper alternative. If you be patient on the forum you might come across somebody that can modify them for you. Good luck!

Thanks! But that's probably not gonna happen because right now the only headphones I have are beats.

These earpads for the Turtle Beach XP 7 fit the M-50s perfectly. They seem to seal as well if not better than the stock ear cups and are far more comfortable and dont seem to make my ears sweat like the stock ones do. Even better you can by them directly from Turtle Beach for 1.95 each.
