My plan is to modify my ATH-M50's to have a detachable cable and the option to connect wirelessly with bluetooth (microphone included)

I'd like to know what kind of 3.5mm jack people have had success with for the detachable cable mod.

Also, what methods has anyone approached for converting headphones to bluetooth?

I found that someone modified a cell phone bluetooth earpiece to have a 3.5mm jack that can plug into any device with an audio input jack.  That seems like a great idea but I'd like to do something less revealing.

I have not done a M50. But you can use the radioshack unit. Either  274-249 or  274-248  with the 248  being preferable.

soundprofessionals sells a pair like this. They mod it with a removable jack at the headphone and velcro a bt receiver to the side
