I have had a pair of ATH AD 900Xs for a few months, and absolutely love them, but now i am finding this fuzzy sound that happens anytime i up my computer's volume. Does anyone know what this is? are there any settings that can fix it, or a piece of hardware that I need to get around it. Any thoughts help.

FiiO E10K ($76) or Schiit Fulla ($79), both are USB-DAC-amp, and should come with a better DAC chip and better headphone amplifier, then what is built into most motherboard's on-board audio.
Maybe even the Asus Xonar DG or DGX sound card?

Have you tried plugging the AD900Xs into a smartphone or iPhone or iPod or portable mp3 player, see if there is a difference?

No fuzziness on both my old iPod and my phone.

Nice to know the issue is not with your $170 headphones.

So if your just into music, then the FiiO E10K and Schiit Fulla would be an easy fix.
Asus Xonar DG or DGX sound card if you have need of Dolby Headphone.

I will probably go with the DGX, since I could use the dolby headphone, if only to try it, or if i get a 5.1 setup in the future.  Plus, it is a cheaper option, so i can invest in a Amp/DAC later down the line.
