So I ordered velour pads from ATH and they are to thin and barely fit, causing pain after a short while wearing the headphones. I ordered a set of brainwavz velour pads here (110mm x 90mm, my headphones need 115mm x 115mm) and got them in today, but couldn't get them to fit even though some reviewers on amazon mentioned they could. Would it be a bad idea to just tape them on to my headphones? Getting decent pads for these headphones shouldn't be so difficult...

Hifiman HE Velour ear pads might fit on to the ATH-AD700.
They fit (with a bit of work) on to my ATH-A900X headphones.
