I found this site on Asus's forum      http://brainbit.wordpress.com/2010/07/19/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/     this guy has gone and made his own driver package with more upto date drivers and has removed the asus control panel and replaced t with the c-media original that by all accounts improves sound quality,i have given them a quick test on my essence st and i am quite impressed by the sound from these drivers,see what you guys think.

I'm trying them out on Win XP 32-bit with Essence ST, haven't encountered any problems so far. I can't say I've noticed any changes as far as sound quality is concerned. I like the C-media original control panel thingie, is there any way to change the sampling rate using that? Or at least see what it's currently set to if it changes automatically.
