So I've been using the ASUS Xonar DG with my front panel audio input jack and I just read on another forum that in order to use the amp on the ASUS Xonar DG it needs to be directly plugged into the sound card.

Is this true? oh man I feel like an idiot if it is true, lol. :frowning2:

I'm using it with a Sennheiser HD598 if that will help in anyway.

Not true, the Xonar DG has the option for headphone amp thru the rear and the front panel. You just have to make sure you have it on FP headphones in the drop down, then the Wrench icon in the panel that shows up has the amp settings for the output.
