Hey! Just a quick question about your opinions regarding this soundcard. Those of you that owns it are you satisfied? Do you recommend it? I am darn close to order one, just need some last opinions before I make the order. I am going to use it for both headphones and to connect it to my Hi-Fi rig.

Season Greetings!

Use it in conjunction with my HD595's and IE8's.  Have had absolutely no problems whatsoever.  Drivers are solid and Xonar audio centre is resource light, custom EQ really is a charm, substantial number of features (see D1 reviews), clean output (no hiss on my IE8's).

Without having compared with "higher-end" DAC's, I would say that it is really great.  IMO, sound cards priced about the D1 will mostly include more features (like more digital decoding options), but when it comes to SQ, the difference in RMAA numbers start to become negligible and people probably fall to placebo (whether they admit it or not).

I would say, go for it.

Is it possible to get Native DSD via ASIO from this card?

I like the Asus sound cards, but the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Z sound card is a better value.
(better DAC chip and headphone amplifier)
