[Causality]

Hi everyone, I am trying to use the RCA outputs of the Essence STX, as a line out into a new amp I got.(Until I get a proper DAC anyways). The problem is that no sound seems to be coming out of the RCA jacks. At first I thought it was the cables, but after I went out an bought a new pair of interconnects it still didn't work. Does anyone have experience with the Essence STX drivers, and Windows 7?

Did you go to the Asus control panel an set the Audio output to "Speaker", "Speaker" output is the Line-output, which are the RCA jacks.

I did, it turns out the control panel for mine is broken, and I needed to download the unified Xonar drivers off maxedtech.com. Thanks for the reply though.
