Are you guys getting crackeling noises whe you use your s25's as DAC on laptop/pc's?

Could it be that I'm using a cheap usb-c to usb-c cable to plug into my laptop?

No such issues. I'm using the cable it came with and have the driver installed.

Thanks - I only have usb c inserts on my laptop - might try the Ak cable wiht a dongle? Where did you get the driver from? That might be what I'm missing...

I’m using Mac. Do I have to install the driver? I tired but didn’t work for DAC. Please advise.
No DAC driver needed for Mac. You should be able to use the default drivers in Windows also for USB DAC mode, but we do provide Windows drivers in case your Windows-based PC does not recognize the player or the driver becomes corrupt and needs to be reinstalled.

Thank you Jason, but I couldn’t find in the SR25 setting. I have searched all over in the internet. I’m sorry that I’m new with this and not that good with technology. If you don’t mind, could you please explain to me.

I have a plan to refrash my DAP usage. I'm about to buy the new Astell and Kern SR 25. I'm using now the Sony NWA-105, with the fantastic Sennheiser IE 800 S in-ears. What do you think guys, will I have have get some significant development in any segments (for first in sound quality)?
Am currently using IE80s, wired to a balanced cable, with SR25. One word for this pairing..LOVELY.
I do get some deep rumbles on certain track. That's how low the bass can be.

With IE800s, i bet that's the end game for you, for now :L3000::L3000:

Oh...I am also a NW-A105 owner prior to SR25. If the battery life is not that bad, trust I'll be keeping that DAP.

Hi Shen I use Bluetooth I only see MAC address of devices in Bluetooth. I live in a apartment where I find 10 MAC address and I don’t know which one is my sound bar. Any way to sort this problem?

hi, what works for me is: once the Bluetooth device you want to connect to is in pairing mode, you press the refresh bottom in the upper right part of the screen and/or turn off and on the Bluetooth in the SR25, then the name of the pairing device appears, then you just press on it and the connection symbol appears.
Hope it works!

Does gapless work well when using the native music app?

Driver is actually stored in the folder on the SR25. It can be accessed directly from Windows Explorer there.

You can also download it here: https://www.astellnkern.com/eng/con...w.asp?search=&word=&idx=1000156&page=1&no=112

Sorry, not sure about Mac. But works great with Windows 10 in DAC mode.

Installed the drivers on my laptop, but still getting intermittent crackling when playing as a DAC.....

Anyone else experiencing this?

Mine plays smoothly as a DAC; no hiccups, buzzes, or crackles. Have you check for EMI sources nearby? Have you tried from a different computer? Are you using the supplied cable?
