After 3 months with AK's leather case, while it's been great, I do have two minor complaints:
1. top right corner is not protected, my device has noticeable scratch purely from having it on my pocket daily

2. the pause playback buttons has no bump at all making it really hard to tell which is which switching songs blindly in my pocket

I think I have found the perfect aftermarket case however, with full protection, pause button bump and even a matching skin/sticker to cover the top

I have the same case (dignis) and yes, it protect the player better than the AK case.

i'm on my 3rd case in about 3 weeks of ownership. i needed one right away so i got a miter case from amazon. it's actually not bad and has a folding panel on back so you can use it as a desk stand. but even before it arrived i ordered the ak one and it arrived a week later. but neither one of them has a slot for the sd card which i didn't realize when i ordered them. i guess i could have attempted to hack out a slot, but neither one of these cases is real leather and, imo, don't do the ak70m2 justice.

i also own a pioneer 300r and someone had tipped me off to dignis and it wears one of their leather cases so i did what i should have done from the beginning and ordered one for the ak70m2 from them. and this time i lucked out and found one in their refurb section and their refurbs seems to be so good no one can tell why they''re refurbs. so i'm very happy i now have a a good leather case with a cutout for the sd card. i wish they'd had a blue one, but the black one i got has blue threading which matches the blue parts of my blue player.

btw, i couldn't figure out what the templates were for and i'm too shaky to ever get those or screen protectors on right so i ignored them--the case alone provides plenty of protection for me.

Dignis leather case looks nice and protects your DAP well but it is too expensive especially after awhile you decide to swap another DAP.

Kinda nice to see some other cases being offered for both the AK70mk2 and the KANN. I bought an AK70mk2 and a AK case for it a coupla months back. The actual availability of a case for AK70mk2 made me choose it over the KANN. Though the KANN has more storage, the small size and case for the AK70mk2 iced the deal for me.

Get the new one mk2. I heard it is much better than mk1. It now costs $599.

The AK is used more than two years, has no warranty and the battery has poor performance (about 3h play). There is original box for it and it is in mint condition. The cost is 750€

The AK70mkii is 20 days old, has warranty and is almost new so de condition is perfect. The cost is 600€

I know that in the sound department the AK320 wins but will it be a big difference? On the other hand AK70mkii has more balanced output which is great.

When it comes to esthetics i like both players.

I will appreciate avery subjective and objective opinion because i really don't know what to do!

the AK70mkII seems like the better choice here...

So I bought a used (25 days) AK70 mii and I'm happy so far(one day of use)

What I noticed an can say is not so good is :
-the device gains quick temperature (original leather case)
-its hard to go to settings when the device is in the case (besel around the screen)
-the phisical buttons are very sensitive when in case and is really hard to find the correct one (when pressing without lookng at the player)
...so all my critical opinions are related to the original case - I think they didn't tested them together properly

I have two pair of low cost headphones which I'll be using with the AK- Sennheiser HD380 PRO and Shure SE215

Shure SE215- the IE are having a lot of Bass so with the bassy nature of the AK they don't match perfectly (too much bass). I was thinking about the balanced output (changing cable for my Shure)- I read someware that the 2.5mm in the AK is more natural - can somebody confirm that???

HD380 PRO- I'm am more than pleased! I'm not an audiophile and i'm not the most demanding listner(for now) but I thing it is perfect. Vocals, bass everything is on its place and you hava a really realistic feel of the music. I launched MJ Thriller in DSF and it was amazing! Best playing combo that I ever had!

Hi All

I currently have a FiiO X7ii and have thought about getting the AK70ii for a while. What improvements should I expect? I know the AK70ii only goes up to 24/192. Is this a downgrade, as the X7ii plays DSD natively.

Does ak 70 mk II support exfat format in micro sd? Used to own kann, but its support for only fat32 is problematic. It can read exfat, but when restarting it will encounter sd card error if not in fat32

You can do it with native windows but it's too much hassle.

AK should really work on this. No other major dap models insist on using outdated fat32 like AK. It is a hassle to reformat and recopy the files back
