The 1000T seems to be going for $600 off at several retailers right now. Not sure if it's a special promotion or if on its way out already.

I have the non-T version and go long periods without listening to it, but every time I do I love it. I don't understand why it never seemed to catch on.
I was actually able to buy a non T version from someone who was hardly using it. Going to use for my work desk with HEK Stealth.

You can buy from Amazon Uk with no trouble. My CA1000 was $706 delivered. Took about 8 days for delivery. Listening to Tom Petty Live at the Fillmore right now thru Caldera.

That is good. I cannot find a case in stock anywhere.

I saw that too. Judging from Miter cases I have bought for other items that price seems rather inflated.

Can the CA1000 be used as a DAC only and how? Can I just use the RCA L/R out from the CA1000 into the AMP?

It can be used as a DAC connected to the computer with the USB cable by choosing the sound output in your favorite music player. As a DAC for speaker amplifier I have not used it, but it is ready for it. That's why it has RCA outputs.

Thanks. I just might need a stronger AMP for my headphones and wanted to know if this can be an option.

From what I have read, the ACRO CA100 can handle even the Susvara, although it doesn't squeeze its full potential as other amplifiers. But in principle we have a valid device to drive almost any headphone.

You tell me :) you have HE1000 Stealth. That is what I have on the way. How’s running that headphone on the CA1000 in comparison to the RME ADI-2 DAC?

I haven't tried it in comparison because in all my previous headphones ACRO CA1000 has been far superior in sound quality to the RME ADI2. With the HE1000 Stealth I haven't even tried it. I use ADI to connect it to an amplifier and speakers.

Does the HE1000 Stealth sound great with the CA1000?

I haven't had many devices and headphones to compare, but the HE1000 Stealth with the ACRO CA1000 sounds remarkably good. It sounds for example much, much better than a Focal Clear OG. Also, almost all the comments about the HE1000 Stealth are on the side that it needs warm amps, and the ACRO CA1000 has that sound signature.
