I have read that the SP2000 doesn't sound as "technically" good as the Hugo 2? Have you done a side-by-side comparison of the CA1000 and Hugo 2? And have you heard the SP2000?CA1000 is definitely better than Hugo 2 imo.

+1I have read that the SP2000, which is said on this thread to be better than the CA1000, doesn't sound as "technically" good as the Hugo 2? Have you done a side-by-side comparison of the two?

I hope that they have solved the issue of lost Internet connection after several minutes with this item? A real pain with the Alpha which was never resolved successfully. I believe the issue is still ongoing for the Alpha…..
Is that ‘Player’ permanently attached? Or is it ‘plumbed’ in?

Yes a dock for dap would be perfect!Should’ve been a dock but looks cool
With the DMP-Z1, I guess sony proved that an all in ones have a market in audiphilia, with all the recent releases of similar devices within various price bracket also of varying sizes and capabilities.
It'd be interesting to see what else these "smart DAC/AMP" segment can do in the future.
