Interesting. I get the "scanning media" message, pretty much every time I fire up the unit, and I'm using only the internal memory with no SD card mounted. Why is this "the dreaded..."?
I edited my previous post clarifying that it’s getting stuck on “scanning media” and it doesn’t seem to be able to see contents of the memory card, only displaying albums stored in the internal memory.Interesting. Thanks so much! I'll try all that and report back!Delete all music on the card. See if it shows up then (I think it will even if it is empty as long as you reformat it correctly).
My guess is that you have tagging issues/file issues and the scanning is because it can't read what you put on the card. Especially if you have files in there it doesn't like. NO extra files besides the FLAC or whatever you have. Take out any photos as well. Just music files.
Also, make very sure, with a tagging editor, that your Artist and Album Artist are BOTH filled in. For whatever reason, leaving Album Artist empty confuses this device (it doesn't on my AK 1K) and it won't place it where you can see it but will add it to something along the lines of Unknown album.
Any decent quality cable should work without issue. I personally usually use Anker cables as they are the same as my Android phone and have tons around in various sizes and have never had an issue. Some of the cheaper cables on Amazon are usually poorer quality.I am wondering if any SP2000T users found a good quality short USB-C to USB-C cable that works well for them? The included cable is a USB-C to USB-A cable and it's a bit on a longer side. I'm looking at this cable here: https://cn.ddhifi.com/en/product/tc09s/ It's recommended quite highly here on Head-Fi but I haven't seen anyone using it with Astell&Kern devices. Any other cable I should consider? Any recommendations from you @JasonNYC? Thanks!

Same here. Unable to install RoonARC. It's currently on version 1.0.52.Just found RoonARC Version 1.0.48 in my Download options. But I can´t install it. I get a "parsing error".
I am fairly certain the SP2000T is not currently compatible with Roon Arc. We have been rolling out support to more devices, but have encountered a weird bug on the SP3000 and SP3000T only in the last two versions released. Roon is currently looking into the issue for us and we are waiting for an update from them before proceeding. I am waiting for confirmation from the team specifically on SP2000T and will share once I have it.Same here. Unable to install RoonARC. It's currently on version 1.0.52.
I tried installing versions 1.0.47, 1.0.48, 1.0.50 and 1.0.52 through the Open APP Service and it doesn't work either. Is there a workaround?
If not, @JasonNYC perhaps you could kindly reach out to the software team? Maybe the current firmware isn't compatible with RoonArc app and it needs an update?
Thanks!
