@R7photo I believe this is what you were asking, correct? In hybrid mode, you can adjust the balance between op-amp and tube amp output. The pics below are from the latest beta firmware we received this morning. The final screen UI may change in the retail firmware version.

Oh this is sick.

Did anyone confirmed which level of Android the AK OS will be based on in the SP2000T?

Too bad it will be based on an ESS chip, would have loved to ear what sound signature could have been accomplished with the combination of AKM chip and tube amp.

That’s actually great news. I’m still trying to get an answer about which Android the SP2000T OS will be based on.

As I mentioned in a previous post, it is at least Android 9 or 10. I am still waiting on confirmation myself.

Hi Jason, apart from the Android version, have you received any confirmation when the SP2000T will be ready to be shipped?
Last update was shipping to distributors September 30th, expected to be available at authorized dealers by second week of October. That could slip by a week due to shipping delays we have been seeing due to COVID. Expecting another update end of next week.

For US/Canada, we are expecting to start pre-orders October 1st.

That 3db difference is totally audible, particularly since the vast majority of music is well below 100db. Oh, and the 16bit technical limit is 96db (sarcasm over).
Completely agreed, and human doesn’t hear beyond 120db. I was just honestly answering the person who asked where and which section the SP2KT would be positioned within SP chains, no sarcasm intended, though thanks for the 😂

I could have told him that according to the price, it is lower tier than SP2K. But hey, just being practically 🤣

The price might also not be a good indication, maybe they recalibrate their offerings to compete with the pretty well received models from iBasso, Fiio and others.
Depending on the market conditions they can go for lower number of devices sold at high margins or higher number of device sold at lower margins. The goal is always to maximise profit.

Tell that to HifiMan, not me 🤣, and that is why I go for specs, practicality. Able to hear it or not isn’t a debate. Engineering specs are there for a reason. But hey, the hobby is subjective. Go for what sounds best to your ears.
