Today I came up with an issue where once my screen timed out the touch screen no longer worked. I forced it to power off and the same thing happened each time. I did a factory reset, but it didn’t make a difference. Has anyone else run into this, and if so did you find a fix?

Have not run into it, but I would try getting in touch with Astell, they are quite helpful when it comes to fixing issues. A Friend who owns a different model said there is a guy in the UK who can fix most issues and will also do hardware upgrades for a reasonable price, but I have not tested their work myself

Thank you for the reply and advice. I’ll follow up with them.

On my AK180, after updating to Version 8.3 of Qobuz APK, Qobuz Discovery generate Error 404. I still have my library in local.
I tried to revert to former version that worked flawlessly (7.15), but each time I get error of analysis blah-blah.
A pain in the ***

Perhaps I am just late to the party in discovering this, but I wanted to share it. If, like me, you are a low-volume listener, you might wish you had finer control over the volume level. If so, just turn on the EQ but don’t adjust any of the frequency sliders. This will not change the sound, but it will reduce the volume (to prevent clipping if you were to adjust one or more of the sliders to its maximum increase).

If you want even finer volume control, you can adjust each frequency slider downwards by an equal amount. Again, this will not change the sound, only the volume (as long as you adjust each slider equally).

Well what a surprise. I leave my SE180 for a couple of months without using it, you know left outside in the rain, buried in a hole, you know, somewhere unsafe like not next to my bed on the shelf (sarcasm if anyone is wondering) and yup, it's bricked itself. Won't charge, just like the first one I bought. It's really incredible you can spend this sort of money on a device and it just bricks itself for no reason.

Have you contacted A&K, who may have advice for getting it to accept a charge with a dead battery?

Once a LiPo goes it's toast. I have a fair bit of experience with these batteries due to my job and IMO, they cannot have a proper battery management system in these players. Once they discharge to a certain level, or get too cold (like sitting in a warehouse waiting to be sold!), without being put in storage mode, they can't be revived, they are dead. They should never be allowed to get to such a low voltage that they can't be recharged, so there's a fundamental problem with the BMS. Putting a LiPo in here is a stupid move, should have been LiFePO4 or Li-Ion, these devices don't need the current a LiPo can dump - which is the point of a LiPo. Yep, it will have to go back to get a replacement battery.

Hello everybody! Is there information about the reliability of the swapping mechanism? I mean, how many times can I change it without mechanism deterioration? Can I swap them every day? Maybe there is information about the number of safe swaps?
It doesn’t matter that much, swapped them many times. The connection is very sturdy

Quick question to the forum and AK. I haven't used the USB audio out on my SE180 yet, so I picked up a cable that works great from my iPad to my desktop DAC, but I can not get the USB output to turn on. Is it as simple as going to the menu bar and pressing the USB icon? I can’t get it to work/light up, so I was assuming that I missed a step.

If anyone can post the step-by-step process, I’d greatly appreciate your help!

Want to help you, but can you explain a little more detailled what you are trying to achieve? I only understand half.

There is a included otg usb cable, and enable usb out works. You have to enable it on options on the se180 though. There you can choose usb audio out or storage from what I remember when I owned it.

Thank you, I appreciate your response.

I want to use my 180 or my 2000T to stream Qobuz to my desktop DAC. I see the USB out, but I can’t get it to output music, the screen on the DAC reads 782kHz, but no music.
