I remember hearing a few binaural recordings a while back and I was blown away by how real the positioning was.  It was something amazing that I'd never experienced before outside of real life.  Then it all kind of disappeared (either that or I stopped paying attention).  Not too long ago I found about ASMR.  Since I remember there being a lot of excitement about binaural recordings on this site I'm curious to find out if any of you listen to ASMR.

For those of you who don't know, ASMR is that sensation you get when you're really tired and somebody whispers into your ear.  It's that weird tingling sensation, that surge of energy you feel.  The feeling like everything is suddenly close.  Most ASMR recordings use really good mics that give you very realistic sense of space.  Often they are binaural with a dummy head.  A lot of people listen to ASMR if they have trouble getting to sleep.

Thoughts, opinions, discussion?

Yep. I listen to ASMR, in terms of triggers, I'm partial to female whispers, crinkling and tapping sounds, though it's often triggered by things that aren't these at all.

Yup. I listen to Ephemeralrift a lot, even some of the weirder stuff. It certainly helps me sleep. If you listen to too much, you start to build a tolerance and the effect lessens and fades away. To get the feeling back you need to take a break for a week to a month.

I absolutely love ASMR sessions. I hear them almost everyday. It relaxes and sometimes gives me the tingly tingles.
Channels I subscribe to:

Absolutely - I find them very relaxing - though it feels a bit weird listening to
someone scratching a mic - but what the heck, if it works - it works- right? :)

This one below isn't ASMR per se, but it's one of the most amazing
binaural recordings I've ever heard and definitely worth a listen
and as I'm sure you all know - closing your eyes intensifies the experience

Since I discovered it few months ago, I now always fall asleep listening to some, I pledged on the ossic X kickstarter, I'm curious to see if it will help increase the binaural effect.
