i got the ASIO dll from the japanese page.
i got the ASIO 4 All control panel.

i loaded the asio dll into the winamp plugins directory, and now i get output that's slowed down and extremely staticky.

this happens in both winamp2 and winamp5
i used the MAD plugin, and without the MAD plugin. still staticky.
no problems with direct sound or nullsoft's wav out.

please don't recommend foobar, unless you can give me a step by step on how to change the GUI on foobar. i already installed foolooks, and tried to get a skin, and it just crashes, or doesn't come up and gives me a headache in general.

btw, i have an athlon xp 2500+ overclocked to 3200+ so if that's the problem, then let me know.

I would definetly restore your CPU settings to default, and try that.

Also, if you want to learn how to use foobar, read the forums over on hydrogenaudio.org

A few searches should help you figure this program out, in the end I think you will be happier with foobar.
