I can't figure this out.
I'm running Windows XP, and going back and forth between MediaMonkey 4 and Foobar2000 with ASIO plugins. I'm feeding regular 44.1khz flac files to my Creative X-Fi HD USB, and outputting by Toslink optical to my Onkyo TX-8050 receiver. Now when I'm just using DirectSound or WaveOut the audio is detected as 44.1khz by the receiver as it should, but when I switch to ASIO the audio is detected as 96khz!!! I wanna know why and how can I stop it, and ensure I get bit perfect.
The ASIO utility confirms the 41000 sample rates of the files, so why is my receiver seeing something different?
