What do our prefered musicians choose as our headphones ?

This idea came to me when I was testing my new MS1 !

I took "Both Worlds" by Michel Petrucciani. I was about choosing a track, and when I looked at the back of the cd case what did I saw ?...

Yes ! It is a AKG K-240 (Studio, I guess !) ! And then I thought I should take a look or a ear to AKG...
Why not ... my next purchase ?

It was a diseace. He never grew up since his childhood. He died 1 year ago, I think.
But he was one of the greatest jazz improvising pianist ever ! Very fast and smooth and sweet ! If you can, give it a try.

This photo was probably taken in the studio. AKG's are the most popular phones in studios (North American one's anyway) for tracking. That or Sony 7506's. I think Beyer's are more popular in European studios, but not sure which models. Senn 414's were popular in the seventies and early 80's.

I thought eric johnson wore AKGs as his monitor during the first G3 tour. He only wore them through half the set to monitor his es355. I cant remember back that far though...
