Anybody try out Wayne's PSU solution?

http://www.boldercables.com/Store.as...FO+Accessories

Right now I've been using the Stancor unit (which I thought was a nice hop from the stock unit). Anybody here try out Wayne's model? Worth the moola? Impressions?

What kind of improvements you get? (Besides making your ART Di/o hotter of course

)

lower noise floor?

I have the Bolder PSU, but never had the Stancor unit--so I can't compare.

What were your impressions of it? Besides that you liked it?

I mean in terms of sound improvement.

Well... the thing is I ordered it with the mods. The mods likely need the extra juice more than the stock DAC. So... I *could* compare the stock PSU to the Bolder PSU on the modded ART DI/O, but I don't know if that'd tell you anything. I think Nick has the Stancor so maybe I can AB that next time I'm at his place, but it may be a while.

It seems well built if it's any consolation. It seemed like a fair price if you're planning to get the mods too. So far the DAC has cost me: $125 (unit) + $260 (mods) + $125 (psu) = $510 + shipping. Not bad really for how it performs. I'm planning to post a better review of the Bolder mods at some point.
