I dont know much about sample rates and all that stuff. Ive mostly just been using settings and listening to what people say on this forum to decide whats best. I was messing around in Foobar and turned the upsampling on to 48hz. It seems to sound better, more detailed. Im sure this is just my mind playing tricks on me but is it possible that this would be preferrable? Note that Im using the Aria's internal DAC.

Just use whatever sounds best to you.

I personally don't bother with signal processing with generic 16bit USB DACs since they don't support 24bit. Doing resampling in foobar is a small loss, output in 16bit is another small loss. It's possible to gain but IMO that's 1 step forward, 2 steps back. But like I said, if it sounds good to you then go for it. It shouldn't matter what anybody else says.
