I cant hear anyone around me while they are at a low-moderate volume. I dont see them advertised as noise cancellation though.

Not cancellation, that requires battery power, isolation, yes, they may isolate you somewhat from ambient noise. Where did you try them? Often I find that the retail environment is quieter than portable listening conditions.

I'm pretty sure the Studios are the NC ones, not the Solos.
