This question has been bugging me since I joined headfi. Is Shure pronounced as "Schuer" or "Shoe-Re" or "Sure"

I'm pretty sure Shure is pronouced "Sure."

I went through this with the Grado thread, and now I will start saying this wrong, I know I will! Anyway, I've been saying "Sure" all the while.

The japanese here pronounce it as Schuer or Sure even thought phonectically it should be pronounced as Shu Re in japanese. When I bought my E5c, I must have gestured like 20 times before they knew what I was talking about. Luckily a Sony is still called a Sony.

I remember seeing some international ads on a flight many years ago for some Sony products (there were several different Sony ads, some run consecutively) where the ads ended with the voiceover "It's a Sony." The Sony was pronounced more like "sawny" than "sohny", which kinda threw me.
I've always wondered where in the world Sony is pronouced "sawny".
