why not try contacting a few Head-Fiers that live in Japan by using the search tool?

I was in Japan a few weeks ago and would have mailed a few more out if people requested for them. (I only had one person ask me to get him the SA5000, which I did.)

Infiskik - you'd be interested if they got shipped to the states, or you're interested in supplying the states?

ayt - I don't know how to search by profiles! Help?

I've thought about offering to do this for a while, but a few ground rules:

1. You must contribute $100 dollars to Head-Fi as part of the deal. I know you're doing this to save money, but to be honest, my time is worth more than the amount you are saving. I see this as a favor to the community, so you ought to contribute to support that community.

2. I will be getting them from Fujiya-Avic, and their list price is Y48,000. Add 5%, add shipping. I'll get estimates on shipping shortly, but it will likely be EMS and cost 60-80 bux. Exchange rate is Y104 to $1.

3. EMS delivery takes about a week (usually less) from the ship date. I will look into cheaper/faster alternatives.

4. I also want a $15 dollar buffer for incidental expenses (e.g., shipping material). Any surplus from the buffer will be donated to Head-Fi.

5. I haven't figured out how you get the cash to me. If Paypal, you pay fees. I need to look into this.

6. I leave for vacation on February 12th. This means I want your orders and cash by Feb 7th, and I am targeting a ship date of Thursday the 10th (the 11th is a holiday here in Japan).

7. At least 3 people must sign up for me to do this.

Pretty strict eh? But them's the thoughts.

Best,

so, lemme break it down

1. 462.50 is headphone cost
2. 23 bucks for 5% (tax?)
3. 100 to headfi (per memeber or groups total?)
4. 15 bucks for buffer
5. 23 bucks for 4% paypal fees on total of lines 1 2 4.
6. 30 for shipping (liberal per headphone cost)
7. 653.50 total, only 553 goes to the cans...100 to headfi.

so there is it, 650 to use jjcha. he can adjust my figures as he sees fit.

i should also point out that its 779 shipped from a-cubes, and no money to headfi.

can i get a price on the 1ks and 3ks?

it costs 4000 yen to mail an SA5000 using EMS from JPN to USA. (at least it did when I mailed one.)
btw, EMS is probably the best method to ship.
