It's hard to say. If you take a look at the JBL Reference 220 articles at fakeheadphones.com, you'll find that the writer has purchased an "OEM" pair without accessories that he thinks is real. He also purchased a pair with accessories that was definitely fake. My advice would be to stay away unless you are absolutely sure you can get your money back if it is indeed counterfeit.

one more thing i wanted to know is do these perform better than the senn cx 300 and denon ah c452.

I haven't tried the C452, but to my ears the Reference 220 sounds quite a bit better than the CX300. In particular, the mids are clearer, the treble is more detailed, and the bass is much tighter. It does isolate less than the Senns, however.
