Hi, I've recently bought the Superlux HD681 Evo and am quite happy with what they give compared to my old headache inducing Sennheiser 205's. However, the HD681 Evo still causes me somewhat of a headache.

Since I live in a place where headphone supplies are sparse (had to special order the Evo's) I need some advice if there are any velour pads that would fit the HD681 Evo.

I've read the that old HD681 could use AKG 240 velour pads, but I don't know if they'll also fit the Evo's.

I bought Beyerdynamic EDT990V earpads for these. They are already shipping. These fit, right?

Beyerdynamic 770/880/990 ear pads are a little too small to fit on those type of Superlux headphones
Need AKG K240/241/270/271 Velour ear pads.
Also on eBay sell generic Velour ear pads that fit the AKG/Superlux headphones, cost around $15.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I thought I should mention that mine came with both velour and pleather pads in the box. Must be new, but the 'bonus' is pictured on the box's slip cover.

I also got my second pair of EVOs recently, and they too came with the new extra velour / velvet pads included. My first EVO, which i bought when they first came out, didn't had those extra pads. i gotta say, those new velour pads are really nice. I like them better then the AKG K240 velours that i used so far. The EVO velours / velvets have more space for the ears than the K240 Velours AND they are even more more comfortable. And all this for 28 Euros = 37,22 Dollars (I'm from Germany). Thats unbelievably awesome. Still can't believe it (x___X ).

So I recommend these to everyone, you can't do anything wrong. It's a win-win situation  ;D

 I mean . . . 20 euros pair of K240 Velours . . . . 28 euros a new EVO with pleather AND (better than AKG) velours . . . you get the picture ;D

For the old 681, 681B and 668B i use SHURE SRH 940 Pads, they're amazing. They've almost as much space as the Beyer-pads and they're unbelivably comfortable. Sadly, they don't fit the EVOs, but thats not really sad, because of the new EVO velours.

Beyerdynamic DT770/DT880/DT990 use a slightly smaller ear pad, then the HD-681/AKG K240
