I see that all the portable rigs have a huge I/C connecting their amp to dap, which makes it really inconvenient to carry around.

So why arent there 1 inch or less mini mini i/c using the L-shape connectors that just perfectly fit the distance between the input/output of dap and amp?

well, you can always make a DIY interconnect.
1 inch I/C will not fit all rigs (for example if your amp is really big or you store everything in bag) and most people can get used to 2 or 3 inch I/C.

It would be nearly impossible to make a 1 inch, you need space to do the soldering and stuff with the connectors in the way.

I just wrap the cable between the DAP and the amp and it takes up little space, like in these old pics:
