Are the sony d66 eggos harder to drive then the koss portapros?

When comparing the 2 today, i noticed that when i switch phones, and kept the same volume on my Cmoy, when i put the PP's on after the eggos, there was about half the amount of volume. arent the eggo drivers bigger? i dont understand that.

The portapros, that share the same drivers as my KSC35, are harder to drive since they have lower sensitivity and higher impedance. D66 are actually easier to drive than my MX500 earbuds.
