Just wondering. Some of the descriptions of the sound quality remind me of stuff I've heard about the old series and what I heard with the HD535.
Are the new 5x5 Senns remakes of the older 5x5 Senns?

The new HD5x5 series is a different design from the pre-1999 HD5x5 series. However, both series have one thing in common: that trademark, slightly bright sound of the 'classic' lower-end Senns.
