Are the K7XX and MDR MA900 a suitable replacement for the X2?

Like many I'm in love with the sound of the X2s, but I had to sell them because of comfort issues (weight and clamp were off).
I moved on to the HD700, but besides their technicalities, I wasn't smiling as I was with the Fidelios.

Right now - until the X3 are announced - I've laid my eyes on either the MA900 (discontinued, available in the UK for 160£) or the K7XX, basically for the same price.
Do you think either one of those would make me happy as the X2 did?
Right now I'm using the Takstar HI 2050, impressive for the price, but of course doesn't quite cut it.

I was recommended the AKG K612Pro's over the X2's and love them.

It is unfortunate that the X2 is uncomfortable for you because to me it is the most comfortable headphone I own, in comparison to the TH-X00, HD650 and DT990. I know the Fostex TH-X00 isn't in your list, is hard to find and is more expensive, but if you can find them, I think they would give you something to smile about.
