Are Shure E215's the best all a rounders in that price range?

I'm looking for a new set of IEM's. I'm a little bit of a bass head but really listen to a little bit of everything. So far my research has pointed me to the Shure E215's as the best choice. Am I missing any other gems for the same price bracket or less?

I'm using the 215s, and I have to agree they're fine, but when I was researching, the Hifiman RE-400s caught my eye and they seemed pretty nice. Have a look at that?

I think you are missing quite a bit. For that price range, I believe there are better options.

I would suggest you check out the following IEM:

  • Vsonic GR07BE (excellent...just got them. Can't go wrong with them)
  • T-Peos H-100 (current IEM, don't like it's V shaped signature)
  • Rockit R-50
  • HisoundAudio BA100
  • RE-400

I have to say that I am a fan of the SE215 as well. Definitely not the most detailed but they sound great, especially for on the go when you aren't listening as closely.

I believe the RE-400 is more neutral than warm. Haha if you want some bass, I've always wanted to try the Velodyne Vpulse
