I have been following some threads on this forum regarding the relatively-high failure rates of ortho-drivers, I don’t recall or experience driver failures in “more conventional” headphones. Is this technology inherently more prone to failure?

It would be nice if you could enumerate those failures with a description.

I don't think I've ever needed warranty repairs - other than than needing new cables/ear cups - on any other headphones I've owned over many years.

There are many more makers of planar magnetic headphones besides Audeze.
