I was thinking of upgrading but am wondering if PK2's will really make that much of a difference. Are they worth the extra money for them?

it depends. I used to own both at the same time and i actually prefer the pk3. It has more bass than the pk2 and the cord is shorter. the pk2 has more details than the pk3, so its really your preference.

I thought the PK-2s sounded more tonally correct then the PK-3

I am thinking the diff may not be that great. So, I could spend my money elsewhere. There is only so much you can do with an earbud afterall.

Smart move. I prefer the PK3 sound, and I did own both once. Sold the 2s.
