Just wondering, if I'm to purchase a 100volt version of the Stax amp and would like to use it in my country which is running on 230volt, is it recommended to get a step down transformer for it, but making sure it's fed with good audio power cables instead of the stock ones that looks like the rice cooker type?

Or should I modify the unit to run at 230volt instead?
