afternoon all,

i have the opportunity to pick up an ex-demo arcam fmj cd23t cd player for a nice price (AU$2500) here in sydney, australia. any thoughts on partnering this cd player up with the roksan kandy mk. iii integrated amp (AU$2000)? i'm just hoping that this amp will do the cd player justice.

any help most appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the Roksan Kandy, but the FMJ23T is a wonderful CD player that worked well with my HeadRoom MOH(R) and now with my AudioValve RKV Mk II. I do notice from the Kandy's specifications that no note of a dedicated headphone amp in the circuitry is noted; this is usually not a good sign for an integrated speaker-type amp. Think low impedance cans.
