I think they're from Brooklyn? I agree though, one of my favorite albums of the year.

I really loved the Arcade Fire album too but am I the only one who finds the production a bit lacking? Its seems a bit convoluted and not a great dynamic range. Reminds me of Pulp's (a britpop band) albums in that department. Is this just a bad translation onto vinyl or do others find the CD like this too?

No I notice it too. Particuarly on the 1st track. What on earth is going on there?

I actually thought my right driver on my hd280's weren't working properly at one time when I played that track LOL, It still sounds a bit broken to me still even though I know its not...

I just checked their profile on the space and it looks like you're right... it says "Brooklyn/Philadelphia". I think somebody told me they're from Canada. Thanks for pointing out the error.

There are so many great bands from Brooklyn nowadays... these guys, Nada Surf, Say Hi to Your Mom... I think I need to move!

Definitely try Broken Social Scene. I saw them play at The Barfly in Camden last Tuesday. They totally blew me away!
