I recently got a new Xperia Z phone and think the sound is great.  My mp3s are ripped at 320 kbps and I've never heard them so good.  When I got reading though folk seem to think that headphone amps with built in DACs take the sound to another level.  I quite like blue-toothing from the phone to headphones, or to a bluetooth speaker.  Only a few portable DAC headphone amps have aptx bluetooth, including the Creative Soundblaster E5 and the Shanling H3 (?), but how does bluetooth work with a DAC headphone amp?  Does it take the bluetooth signal from the phone to the amp and then you hard wire your headphones through the 3.5mm plug, or can you use the OTG cable to connect the phone to the amp and then use the bluetooth to send the signal without wires to the headphones or speakers?  I guess absolute sound quality is compromised either way.  Does anyone have a Shanling H3?  It has less features than the E5 but looks more portable.
